Revealing Changes ...

I wish I could say that I'm back on a regular posting schedule, but I can't say that.

However, I CAN finally now talk about all these "changes" that have been going on as of late.

CHANGE 1

The biggest one has been the fact that the Mr. and I both have new jobs.

We've been managing a scrap yard together for 1 1/2 years.  It was definitely a growing experience for us both.  It took a while for me  to fully realize that us closing doesn't mean that we failed.  In fact, we were doing really well for where we started from, which was pretty much with nothing.

In a fluke of chance, we received some information that made me begin to look at the present, and where we needed to be in 2 years.  And let me tell you what -- the numbers just weren't working out.  So after a lot of figuring, talking & sleepless night, we (and by we, I mean me, my husband, and my in-laws who own it) decided that the best solution would be to close it.

I was fortunate enough to get my job back at the bank I had worked at previously, and My Mr. went back to work for his Dad at their other business.

CHANGE 2

This really goes with Change 1, but I feel like it deserves its own category.

It has been a transition NOT working together anymore.  Honestly, it has been good for us.

When you are with your husband 24/7, literally, it's easy to take that for granted and quit spending Quality Time together.

It is really nice to be able to come home at night and be actually able to talk about our days.

CHANGE 3

This is the newest change.  I went to the Doctor a few weeks ago and was officially diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Adrenal Fatigue, and some other Hormonal Issues.

He's putting me on some prescriptions to help control the Hashi's, and the Adrenal Fatigue, but He has also recommended that I go on the GAPS Diet, which is overwhelming at it's best.

All in all, we are still transitioning, and now due to the lovely Hashi's and GAPS, I will have even less time to blog.

So, bear with me, hang around and hopefully I will still be able to pop in from now and again.

Until my love's, I'm learning that Life changes, and you can either fight those changes or allow yourself to be fluid and not fight them.  I struggle with changes, I like to stick with what I know and what is comfortable.

And now, I am off to go boil some bones to make broth and render some beef fat into lard.

  1. Wow Hillary! I had to go google what you were diagnosed with because I had never heard of those before. I am so sorry! What a lot you have been through in the last few weeks! Didn't the first doctor you saw say you were fine or something? Life through me a curve ball last year too with moving to a different state. Change is very hard, I don't like it either. But God is good, in spite of the changes. :D

  2. Oh wow--those are some big changes and I hope the new diet really helps you! Sometimes I do think it would be pretty awesome to have a chance to work together with Angel for a while, but it's true, being apart a lot does teach us to really value the time we have together!
